Philippine flag to take over Dubai Festival City Mall show

DUBAI – Filipino pride will be on full display this Saturday (June 12) as the Philippine flag takes over the popular lights and fountain show at Dubai Festival City Mall. The mall will present a special Philippine Independence Day show accompanied by lights and fountains at 7:30pm and 8:30pm. The mall will also feature a projection of the Russian flag at 9:30pm to mark Russian Independence Day on the same day. In 2019, the Philippine flag was displayed in the Dubai Festival City Mall’s iconic Imagine show for the first time. The Philippine flag was projected onto the DFC building as the Philippine national anthem played.

This was followed by a light and music show that flashed scenes from the Philippines and featured landmarks and icons such as the rice terraces and the jeepney. The image of the Philippine sun also floated above the water canal as part of DFC’s Imagine laser show. Here’s how it unfolded:
