The UAE expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with the Philippines over victims of deadly floods and landslides that hit the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Philippines government and people and to the families of victims, as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured. At least 50 people were killed and as many as 60 others missing after torrential rains brought by Tropical Storm Nalgae caused flash floods and landslides in southern Philippines. Naguib Sinarimbo, the interior minister of the Muslim autonomous region, said the deaths include 42 in three towns in Maguindanao. Eight other people died elsewhere in the country from the onslaught of Tropical Storm Nalgae, which slammed into the eastern province of Camarines Sur over the weekend. In Maguindanao’s Datu Odin Sinsuat town, a mudslide buried dozens of houses with as many as 60 people reported missing. At least 13 bodies have so fare been recovered. Army Lt. Col.
