Philippine plane carrying 4 people goes missing, search underway

A search is underway after a small plane carrying four people went missing on Saturday (February 18) after taking off southeast of the Philippine capital, aviation officials said. The Cessna 340 left Albay province for Manila with a pilot, a crew member and two passengers on Saturday morning but has not been heard from since then, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. The authority has notified the Philippine air force, coast guard and disaster-response agencies to help in the search operation. Meanwhile, a search continues for a single-engine Cessna plane that went missing in northern Isabela province on January 24. The plane was carrying six people. ICA/Expat Media
