The small town of San Rafael in Bulacan, Philippines, has soared to new heights—literally and figuratively—by setting a Guinness World Record for the “largest gathering of people dressed as angels.” The feat, accomplished on Sunday (December 15), gathered more than 2,000 participants at the Victory Coliseum. It shattered the previous record set in Winnipeg, Canada, in 2015. San Rafael Mayor Mark Cholo Violago described the moment as “an overflowing source of pride” for the town. “This record reflects the unity and creativity of our community,” he said in Filipino. Guinness adjudicator Kazuyoshi Kirimura presented the certificate to Violago, marking a triumphant end to the event. “San Rafael has earned its wings on the global stage,” Kirimura remarked. The event featured thousands dressed in white robes and angel wings. Local bands and dance groups provided entertainment, adding to the festive atmosphere. “This is more than a record; it’s a reminder that even small towns can achieve big things,” said Violago.
