The Philippines will debut its national pavilion at World Art Dubai 2025, showcasing the works of more than 45 Filipino artists from across the globe. The pavilion, called TRIBE: The Philippine Pavilion, will run from April 17 to 20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The milestone event is spearheaded by Filipino artist and curator Carlo Garrido, in collaboration with TRIBE, a collective of creatives under the Philippine Business Council (PBC) Dubai and Northern Emirates, a non-profit body founded in 2001 to promote Filipino entrepreneurship. “Having our own pavilion at World Art Dubai—one of the region’s biggest art platforms—is a milestone for the Philippines,” said Garrido. “It’s not just about showcasing talent; it’s about making space for Filipino creativity in the global art scene.” TRIBE will host 11 Filipino-owned galleries and companies, representing more than 45 artists from the Philippines, UAE, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, and the US. The artworks reflect the diversity and vibrancy of Filipino creativity, from the homeland to the diaspora. “This may be our first national art pavilion abroad—but it certainly won’t be the last,” added Garrido.
