The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) promised to help the families of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) affected by Typhoon "Karding." DMW Secretary Susan Toots Ople stated that the assistance package would be distributed through their regional offices, particularly in areas that the weather disturbance has badly impacted since Saturday night. "The nature of assistance will be discussed tomorrow during our senior officials' meeting," said Ople. The powerful winds and heavy rains unleashed by "Karding" impacted thousands of families.
