Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has spoken out against online negativity after receiving a hurtful message from a social media user wishing for her to become a “divorced single mother.” The beauty queen and fashion influencer shared a screenshot of the message on her Instagram Stories, calling it “exhausting and hurtful.” “Just another day, another DM. Wild, right? C’mon people. It’s a new year already. Chinese New Year has also passed. Let’s stop normalizing this kind of online behavior,” Wurtzbach wrote. She urged her followers to spread kindness instead of engaging in toxic online interactions. “Let’s remove this for 2025 and support and uplift each other,” she added. In addition to the controversial remark, the netizen accused Wurtzbach of not being able to afford a unique Hermes handbag design. Despite online criticism, Wurtzbach has been riding high on success. In 2024, she was named Global Fashion Influencer of the Year in Dubai and ranked 18th on the list of the most visible fashion influencers, recording $38.4 million in earned media value.
