Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is reintroducing herself to the world—this time, as Pia Jauncey. The beauty queen has officially changed her Instagram handle, taking on her husband Jeremy Jauncey’s surname. The couple tied the knot in a picturesque wedding in Seychelles in 2023 and have announced a move to Dubai. In an interview with Preview magazine, Pia explained her decision. “We’re the Jaunceys now,” she said as she graced the magazine’s latest cover. “After a while, I started feeling like ‘Pia Wurtzbach’ didn’t feel right anymore,” she added, sharing that the change also reflects their future plans as a family. “One day when we have kids, I would want them to see that we share the same last name as their dad.” The 2015 Miss Universe described the name change as part of embracing a secure and fulfilling chapter after years of personal struggle. "Even if my whole house was filled with all the shoes and bags that I dreamed of, or if I had all of the crowns and titles that I dreamed of... I don't think those would compare to the feeling of not being alone anymore," Pia said. The couple has a home in Dubai where Jeremy launched the Beautiful Destinations Academy Powered by Dubai, the region’s first travel content creator academy. Before her reign, Pia was known as Pia Romero in Philippine showbiz, then as Pia Wurtzbach in the pageant world. Now, as Pia Jauncey, she’s embracing a new identity marked by love and growth.
