Pilot grounded for mishandling man who urinated on woman

Air India's CEO and Managing Director stated on Saturday that the airline has issued a show cause notice and de-registered one pilot and four cabin crew while the investigation is underway. The Tata group-owned airline has come under fire from India's aviation authority following an incident on a November 26 flight in which a male customer urinated on a female co-passenger while seemingly inebriated. "Air India acknowledges that it could have handled these matters better, both in the air and on the ground, and is committed to taking action," the airline's CEO and managing director, Campbell Wilson, said in a statement on Saturday. Wilson stated that Air India had begun several initiatives to improve its reaction to such situations, including a review of airline regulations and reporting procedures. Wells Fargo said on Friday that a male passenger accused of misbehaving on a trip from New York to Delhi had been fired and that the bank was collaborating with local law officials. The passenger was apprehended by Indian authorities, according to local media on Saturday.
