Pink’s important Covid-19 message to the world

  DUBAI – Pop superstar Pink took to social media on Saturday (April 4) to give a serious message about the Covid-19 pandemic, while also revealing that she and her son had tested positive for the virus a few weeks ago. The singer said that she and her son Jameson, 3, were diagnosed with Covid-19 two weeks ago. “Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and we continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor. Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative,” Pink shared on Instagram. ' Pink also voiced a serious message about the viral threat and called for access to free testing. “This illness is serious and real. People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities,” she said. The singer pledged a donation totaling $1million to medical causes in the fight against Covid-19. The donations will go to Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia where her mother worked for 18 years, and the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund. “Thank you to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones.
