The Plus500 City Half Marathon, a running event in Dubai, is set to take place on October 27 at the iconic Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Runners of all skill levels are invited to participate in the event, which will feature scenic routes through Downtown Dubai, starting from the DIFC Gate Building. This exciting event will begin at 6am, with participants having the option to run in 5k, 10k, or 21k races. The race is a unique opportunity for athletes and fitness enthusiasts to explore Dubai’s landmarks while pushing their limits. DIFC has partnered with Plus500, a global FinTech and online trading leader, to make this marathon a reality. Apart from the main race, the event will offer various activities, including an awards ceremony, interactive sponsor booths, and a post-race gathering area where participants can share their experiences and enjoy refreshments. Organizers have also encouraged participants to invite family and friends to cheer them on and join the festive atmosphere. “We are thrilled to host this marathon at DIFC and contribute to Dubai’s culture of health and fitness,” said a DIFC spokesperson. “This is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of community spirit and individual achievements.” Registration for the marathon is open, and participants can secure their spots by visiting the official DIFC website.
