Police arrest four suspects linked to a series of vehicle thefts in Sharjah
Sharjah Police have detained four suspects in connection with a series of vehicle thefts across the emirate. Colonel Hamid Saeed Al-Jallaf, Acting Director of the Central Region Police Department, stated that the department had received many reports that several automobiles had been stolen from residences after the owners had left their keys inside. The police promptly organized a team of criminal detectives who gathered evidence and identified three individuals. During the interview, they admitted to stealing four vehicles using the same method. According to the Acting Director of the Central Region Police Department, the three suspects admitted to having a fourth accomplice who acquires stolen automobiles and sells them without contracts proving ownership transfer. All four were apprehended and referred to Sharjah's Public Prosecution to conclude the inquiry. The police were able to return all stolen vehicles to their owners. Colonel Al-Jallaf urged car owners to lock their vehicles before leaving and not leave the key inside for any reason. He also emphasized the importance of parking vehicles in secure areas, so thieves do not have the opportunity to steal them.
