Spurs coach earns 1,128th win while LeBron is youngest playet to garner a total of 28,000 points

  SAN ANTONIO, Texas - San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and Cleveland Cavaliers star player LeBron James each made history at the NBA over the weekend. Popovich earned his 1,128th victory – the most by a NBA coach for a single franchise – when he led the Spurs to a 121-97 win over the Denver Nuggets last Saturday. The record of the most wins by a NBA coach was held previously by Jerry Sloan of the Utah Jazz. Manu Ginobili of the Spurs was all praises for Popovich. "The record is just a number. He didn't need that record to define what he means for this franchise, the NBA, in the last 20 years.
