Whipped cream dispenser explodes, hitting Rebecca Burger in the thorax and caused her to have a heart attack

  FRANCE - Popular fitness personality and blogger Rebecca Burger has died after a pressurized whipped cream canister exploded, hitting her in the thorax and causing the 33-year-old French model to suffer cardiac arrest. Burger's family announced Rebecca's demise in an Instagram post. Burger had more than 150,000 followers on the photo and video-sharing site. Burger's family warned about the use of the metal dispenser saying: "This is an example of the whipped cream siphon that exploded and hit Rebecca's thorax, leading to her death. To be clear: The dispenser that led to her death was sealed. Do not use this type of utensil! Tens of thousands of defective devices are still out there." French police confirmed Burger's death but the cause of her demise is still being determined. They also said they are investigating the incident which happened last Sunday. The French newspaper L'Alsace said Burger's heart stopped beating right after being hit in the thorax by the canister but was revived by responding paramedics. She was brought to a hospital where she died. Finess company Women's Best, which had partnered with Burger, posted a tribute for Rebecca, calling her a "beautiful soul". "Rebecca was not only a great fitness figure but a generous and kind person to work with. Please pray for her soul to rest in peace and for her family to stay strong. We will always be proud of you, Rebecca," the Women's Best post said. Burger's fans mourned her death and expressed their disbelief over what happened.
