UAE 5-day weather forecast: rain, sand storm warning

  DUBAI – The UAE will experience some rain, fog and sand storm in the next five days, according to a weather forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). According to the weather bureau, visibility will drop over coastal areas and inland areas on Friday (February 11). The weather will remain fair to partly cloudy in general. Parts of the UAE will also experience rainfall of varying intensities from Saturday until Monday, according to NCM. Strong winds are forecast to kick up a sand storm in parts of the country on Saturday and Sunday. Here is the UAE weather forecast for the next 5 days:

Friday, February 11

Fair to partly cloudy in general. Light to moderate winds. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Saturday, February 12

Fair to partly cloudy and cloudy at times over some coastal and Northern areas by night with chance of light rainfall by Sunday morning. Light to moderate Southeasterly, becoming gradually fresh Northwesterly winds by evening and strong at times over the sea, with speed 20 – 30 reaching 45 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate, gradually becoming rough by evening in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.

Sunday, February 13

Dusty and partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of light to moderate rainfall at times over some coastal, Northern and Eastern areas. With a significant decrease in temperatures. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds and strong at times over the sea loaded with dust causing blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility over the exposed areas, with speed 20 – 30 reaching 55 km/hr. The sea will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman Sea.

Monday, February 14

Partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of light to moderate rainfall at times over some coastal, Northern and Eastern areas during daytime, with an increase in temperatures. Humid by night and Tuesday morning over some western areas with a chance of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Northwesterly to Northeasterly winds freshening at times especially over the sea during daytime, with speed 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be rough by morning to slight afternoon in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to slight in Oman Sea.

Tuesday, February 15

Fair to partly cloudy in general. Humid by night and Wednesday morning with chance of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas. Light to moderate Northeasterly to Northwesterly winds, with speed 10 – 20 reaching 30 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
