Weather center warns of more rain, dusty conditions today and tomorrow

  AL AIN – Heavy rain and hail pummelled the UAE's eastern and southern regions yesterday as weathermen warned residents of more rain and dust blown by strong winds in the next few days. The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said heavy downpour occurred in Khatam Al Shakla in eastern Al Ain close to the border with Oman late yesterday afternoon while moderate rainshowers fell in Umm Ghafa. Light rain was recorded in Wadi Al Helo in eastern Sharjah, the NCMS also said. An NCMS video showed rain and pebble-size hailstones falling in Mezyed, which is also near the UAE-Oman order. Meanwhile, the weather center said rainshowers may fall in eastern areas of the UAE today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).
