Rain, haze forecast to hit parts of UAE on Saturday
DUBAI - Scattered rain and haze will continue to hit parts of the UAE on Saturday, a day after rainshowers with strong winds lashed parts of Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain.
National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said there is a chance of rain over some internal and southern areas of the country on Saturday afternoon, although the weather will be generally hot and hazy at times.
Here's the weather bureau's five-day forecast:
SATURDAY, JULY 7
* Hot to very hot daytime, hazy at times. The clouds amount will increase over scattered areas with a chance of rainy or convective clouds formation by afternoon eastward, extending over some internal and southern areas.
* Wind: Southeasterly to Northeasterly with speed 20 – 30 Km/hr, reaching 45 Km/hr at times especially with clouds, causing blowing dust and sand and poor horizontal visibility.
* Sea: Moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and Moderate in Oman Sea.
SUNDAY, JULY 8
* Hot in general and hazy at times. Some clouds will appear eastward by afternoon, may become convective along the mountains at times.
* Wind: Southeasterly to Northeasterly with speed 15 – 30 Km/hr, reaching 38 Km/hr at times, causing blowing dust over some exposed areas.
* Sea: Slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
MONDAY, JULY 9
* Hot in general, hazy at times, with fall in temperatures.
Wind: Southeasterly to Northwesterly with speed 15 – 25 Km/hr, reaching 35 Km/hr at times, may cause blowing dust over some exposed areas.
* The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over coastal and internal areas, with a probability of fog/mist formation especially westward.
* Sea: Moderate, becoming rough at times especially westward in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
TUESDAY, JULY 10
* Hot in general and hazy at times, with another fall in temperatures.
Wind: Southeasterly to Northwesterly with speed 15 – 25 Km/hr, reaching 35 Km/hr at times, may cause blowing dust over some exposed areas.
* The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over coastal and internal areas, with a probability of fog/mist formation especially westward.
* Sea: Moderate to rough at times especially westward in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 11
* Hot in general and hazy at times.
