UAE weather alert: Rain, haze forecast in parts of country
DUBAI – The UAE weather bureau issued an alert on Tuesday (October 8), warning of possible rainfall and haze in parts of the country.
According to the National Centre for Meteorology, rainfall and winds of 45kmph per hour will reduce visibility to less than 2,000 metres in some areas.
The alert is from 12:40pm to 8pm, and comes after rain lashed parts of the UAE earlier in the week.
The weather on Tuesday is forecast to be fair to partly cloudy in general with th probability of rain clouds in the afternoon. Tuesday evening is expected to be humid, with 85 percent humidity in coastal areas and islands.

Wednesday, October 9
Fair to partly cloudy. Humid by night and Thursday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a chance of mist or fog formation especially westward. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 16 – 28, reaching 38 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Thursday, October 10
Fair to partly cloudy with a probability of convective clouds formation over northeastern and Southern areas. Humid by night and Friday morning with a probability of fog formation over some internal and coastal areas. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 16 – 28, reaching 38 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Friday, October 11
Fair to partly cloudy with a probability of some convective clouds formation eastward. Humid by night and Saturday morning over some coastal and internal areas especially westwards. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 18 – 28, reaching 38 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Saturday, October 12
Fair to partly cloudy with a chance of some convective clouds formation eastward. Humid by night and Sunday early morning over some western areas. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 18 – 30, reaching 40 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
