Rain, sandstorm forecast in UAE
ABU DHABI - The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) on Saturday forecast rain to hit parts of the country as rainclouds formed in the Arabian Gulf. According to the national weather bureau, thunder and fresh to strong winds are forecast at times, with a wind speed of up to 60km/hr. The sea will be rough to very rough at times, from 1am Saturday until 1am on Sunday morning. The NCM urged motorists to take precaution and avoid areas with valleys and rainwater due to convective clouds formations over scattered areas of the country. The weather bureau said this may be associated with rainfall and thunder. Strong winds are also forecast to stir up a sandstorm that will reduce horizontal visibility on Saturday until 1am on Sunday.
