A total of 321 cloud seeding missions has been carried out in the UAE since the start of 2023, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The cloud seeding missions lasted between two hours and three hours per mission and covered most regions in the country. This week, various areas in the country witnessed heavy rain accompanied by lightning, thunder and hail. On Wednesday (November 8), heavy rain was reported in parts of Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah. The rainy weather is expected to ease on Friday. On Thursday (November 9), the weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy in general, with a chance of rainfall over eastern and western areas. Friday’s weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy at times, with a probability of rainfall and an increase in temperatures. On Saturday, the weather will be humid in the morning and night, with some light, fresh winds at times.
