  DUBAI – Ramadan creates a more sociable atmosphere in the workplace and jobseekers can take advantage of that, a Dubai expert said as a new survey revealed details about Ramadan’s effect on professionals in the region. According to a recent survey by job site Bayt.com, professionals in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) stay upbeat during Ramadan, which 86.8 percent of Mena professionals said was one of their favourite times of the year. In addition, 53.7 percent of Mena respondents feel they socialise more than usual with colleagues during Ramadan. In keeping with a heightened morale and a more sociable atmosphere at work, 56.3 percent also believe that there is a noticeable increase in their company's charitable activity. Suhail Masri, vice-president of employer solutions at Bayt.com, said that employers can use the high morale of employees during Ramadan to build loyalty, engagement and retention. "For their side, job seekers can use the time to network for careers and dedicate extra time to learning," he said.  CLM/Expat Media
