If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be Tom Cruise flying those fast planes in Top Gun, a new aerobatics flight service in Ras Al Khaimah is going to give you just that, plus a thrilling new look at the emirates from the skies. Aviation Adventure Tourism recently launched ActionFlight, considered the UAE’s first passenger flight for aerobatics. Adventure seekers can take off from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport to get on stunt planes that can soar at up to 6,000 feet above Marjan Island, Cove Rotana, Al Rams and beyond. You can jet through the skies at speeds of up to 400kmph, experience face-pulling G-forces while getting 360-degree panoramic views of the stunning coastline, desert and mountains. The intermediate-level aerobatic flights include inverted dives, rolls and hammerhead stall turns that challenge gravity. The flights use EXTRA 330 aircraft, considered the “Ferrari of the skies” with a maximum speed of 407kmph (253mph). The experience costs Dh2,399 and lasts for 20 minutes. The total experience takes three hours, starting from the passenger pick-up to the flight suit fitting. Flights operate from 7am until 5pm. ICA/Expat Media
