Ras Al Khaimah has been named the world’s best city for expatriates to live, according to InterNations’ 2024 Expat Essentials Index. The emirate outperformed 53 cities in categories such as housing, digital life, and ease of settling in. This recognition is a testament to RAK's dedication to creating an inclusive and thriving community. “Our unique mix of natural beauty, modern infrastructure, and welcoming environment sets us apart,” said Heba Fatani, Director-General of RAK Government Media Office. RAK scored particularly high in housing affordability and accessibility, with 72 percent of respondents finding it easy to secure accommodations, compared to 45 percent globally. The emirate also ranked second in the Working Abroad Index, with expats praising its work-life balance and career opportunities. “This achievement reflects our efforts to make RAK a place where individuals and families feel at home,” said Rouba Zeidan, RAKGMO’s Head of Special Projects. The Heart of RAK platform was recently launched to highlight the emirate’s livability and opportunities. RAK’s success aligns with Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi’s vision of transforming the emirate into a global destination. ICA/Expat Media
