An advanced AI-powered camera system has been installed across Ras Al Khaimah roads to enhance police decision-making, predict and prevent crimes, and manage traffic incidents in real-time. The technology is part of the "Safe City" project and entails the embedding of AI to further enhance safety on the roads and the security of society. According to Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, these state-of-the-art cameras rank among the most advanced security technologies worldwide. These AI systems analyze traffic patterns and criminal behaviors, providing real-time data that aids in enhancing response times in emergencies. They further identify potential hot spots and predict criminal activities that could happen to ensure quicker intervention and reduce the response time for both traffic accidents and criminal incidents. Major General Al Nuaimi has assured that these new cameras equipped with AI would make a huge difference in the lives of the citizens of Ras Al Khaimah by providing them with a safe environment for everybody.
