A rescuer is seen propelling down from a helicopter to reach the injured hiker in Ras Al Khaimah.

A Russian hiker has been rescued after he fell from a mountain in Ras Al Khaimah, according to the National Search and Rescue Centre of the National Guard. The authority released a video clip of the rescue, which was done in coordination with Ras Al Khaimah Police. Authorities said the injured Russian was located in the Wadi Al Qor area. A rescue team on a helicopter was sent to find and evacuate him. The terrain made it difficult for the helicopter to land, so a rescuer had to propel down from the helicopter to reach the injured hiker. The injured man has been transferred to Saqr Hospital.
