New UAE Radars to Detect Unlicensed Cars, Trucks

Ras Al Khaimah Police has announced the installation of a new radar on Masafi Road. From Monday, October 17, 2022, the radar will actively detect unauthorized crossing of trucks and vehicles with expired license plates. The authority informed residents of the installation through a post on Twitter. According to a top official at Ras Al Khaimah Police's Central Operations Division, the radar has been installed to control traffic on Masafi Road. The radar will track trucks using the road without a permit or outside the permitted hours. It will also detect vehicles with expired license plates. The official urged motorists to renew their driver's licenses, obey traffic laws, and drive within speed limits. To avoid traffic violations and to ensure the safety of people and property, truck drivers must not pass Masafi Road without a license, according to the official. BKM/ Expat Media
