Love Me Tomorrow screens in the UAE: review of Dawn Zulueta and Piolo Pascual movie

  Dawn Zulueta's second comeback film, Love Me Tomorrow, defies conventions. The plot isn't always what it appears and the movie isn't as predictable as expected. In the movie, Zulueta plays a 50-year-old widow, Christy Gonzalez, who finds love and success in the most unexpected place. Enter JC (played by Piolo Pascual), a 35-year-old DJ who sweeps her off her feet, and the younger, flirtatious Janine (played by Coleen Garcia) to complete the triangle. What happens next explores the questions: Can love really bridge the gap between age, maturity and status? Is love really, truly enough? The twists in the plot perfectly navigate through the answers. I loved Zulueta's character as the conflicted fashion designer, Christy. She was able to smoothly transition between the comedic and serious moments throughout the film. Pascual's character was also believable. I think he really channeled his inner Robin Padilla in this film. Garcia did surprisingly well as the annoying antagonist. You really want to love her and hate her at the same time. The movie has the perfect balance of light and dramatic moments, and didn't leave me bawling my eyes out (which is always a good thing). It also offered plenty of life lessons. Love has no label and Love Me Tomorrow offers a coming of age for everyone. How Expat Media rates this movie: I'd watch it again!
