Four Dubai Metro stations that have been shut down to undergo maintenance work after heavy rainfall in the emirate will be reopened on May 28, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Onpassive, Equiti, Mashreq, and Energy Metro stations will reopen following the completion of all maintenance and safety checks to ensure that they are “ready to operate at the highest standards and efficiency”, according to RTA. Currently, 150 public buses are serving commuters at Business Bay to help them reach further destinations, including Mall of Emirates, Onpassive, Mashreq, Equiti, Dubai Internet City and Al Khail metro stations. Last April 16, torrential rain hit Dubai and the rest of the emirates, sparking widespread flooding that damaged homes, building and cars and disrupted public transport services. ICA/Expat Media
