The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will offer free public bus rides to and from New Year’s celebrations at Burj Khalifa, ensuring cost-effective and convenient travel for millions of attendees. The free bus service will transport passengers from designated parking areas, including Al Wasl Club, Al Kifaf, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs. After the fireworks, buses will shuttle commuters to Metro stations, taxi stands, and alternative parking areas. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to manage the influx of visitors expected at Dubai’s 36 fireworks locations, which include iconic landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, and Expo City. To ensure safety and smooth operations, over 8,500 police officers will be deployed, and advanced crowd-management systems will be in place. Viewing areas with screens and meal provisions will also be set up to help attendees enjoy the celebrations away from congested zones. An RTA representative said, “Free bus rides are part of our commitment to enhancing public transport accessibility and ensuring a memorable New Year’s experience for all.” Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, plan their trips, and use the public transport options available to avoid traffic and parking challenges.
