Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has rolled out a new direct metro service from Centrepoint Station to Al Fardan Exchange Station, giving daily commuters another option during peak travel times. The move expands the Red Line’s direct routes to three: Centrepoint to Expo City Dubai, Centrepoint to Life Pharmacy Station, and now Centrepoint to Al Fardan Exchange Station. According to RTA, the shorter route will help reduce crowding on trains and platforms while cutting down overall waiting times. “The direct services have already shown improvements in passenger convenience, reduced train kilometres, and enhanced efficiency across the metro network,” the authority said. The new system also eliminates the need for some passengers to transfer at Jebel Ali Metro Station, streamlining journeys and reducing congestion during rush hours. ICA/Expat Media
