Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced revised taxi booking fares, effective from November 5, as part of its ongoing review of public transport tariffs. According to RTA, new booking fees will apply to rides booked through smart apps, with variable rates depending on the time of day. The minimum taxi fare has also been raised from Dh12 to Dh13. Dubai commuters will see updated taxi booking fees depending on the time and day of travel, according to the latest fare structure.

  • Monday to Thursday: 6am–7:59am, 10am–3:59pm (off-peak)

  • Friday: off-peak hours

  • Saturday & Sunday: off-peak hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:59pm–10pm (night)

  • Friday: midnight–5:59am

  • Saturday & Sunday: midnight–5:59am

  • Monday to Thursday: 8am–9:59am, 4pm–7:59pm (peak hours)

  • Friday: 8am–9:59am, 4pm–9:59pm (peak hours)

  • Friday: 10pm–11:59pm (late-night peak)

At a glance:

  • Lower fares (Dh4 booking / Dh5 flagfall) apply during off-peak daytime hours.

  • Higher fares (Dh7.50 booking) apply during busy evening and weekend peak times.

  • Night and late-night trips cost slightly more, with flagfall rising to Dh5.50.

The RTA said the new structure aims to balance efficiency, operational costs, and convenience, while ensuring that Dubai’s taxi service remains accessible and competitive in the region’s fast-growing transport landscape.
