Can you find the Mystery Man at Dubai Metro? VIRGIN RADIO
Dubai Metro commuters are in for an exciting challenge as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) celebrates Public Transport Day with the “Mystery Man” hunt. The challenge, running until November 1, gives Metro users the chance to win a daily prize of Dh10,000 and a 50-gram gold bar on the final day. Clues about the Mystery Man’s location are shared through Virgin Radio, Tag and other radio stations under the Arabian Radio Network (ARN), adding an element of surprise and intrigue. RTA encourages Metro passengers to join the search by actively listening to the clues to track down the elusive figure. Here’s another twist: “The Mystery Man can either be a man or a woman,” according to Virgin Radio. The first passenger to spot the Mystery Man and follow the official contest instructions will win the prize. If there is no winner, the prize will be added to the next day's cash pool. To win the cash prize, the participant must say this exact phrase to the Mystery Man: “Are you the Mystery Man?” between 6:30pm to 7:30pm. The participant can substitute the name of the radio station based on where he or she received the clue. If the Mystery Man confirms by saying “yes,” an ARN representative will be around to confirm the win. If the participant misses a word or fails to say the exact phrase, or spots the Mystery Man beyond the specified time frame, the Mystery Man will deny being the Mystery Man. Participants must be a resident of UAE and 18 years or older to identify the Mystery Man. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants who find the Mystery Man must also snap a selfie with the Mystery Man and tag the RTA’s official social media handle with the hashtags #MysteryManDubai and #PublicTransportDay. Marking Dubai Metro’s achievements, Mohammed Al Ali, CEO of Rail Agency at RTA, said, “Public Transport Day has become a yearly highlight, bringing the community together and showcasing the benefits of sustainable transport.” The challenge underscores the RTA’s commitment to enhancing public transport in Dubai, with initiatives such as the driverless Metro, Nol Cards, and air-conditioned bus shelters. Public Transport Day celebrates these milestones and invites residents to experience the city’s well-planned transportation system. This year, RTA is encouraging more residents to utilize Dubai Metro as a sustainable option and rewarding loyal commuters with engaging activities.
