Samsung is giving every athlete at the Paris Olympics a special gift: a custom Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition smartphone. This gesture is meant to make the athletes' experience at the Olympics even better. Every athlete received the Olympic-themed Samsung flip phone, the normal version of which retails for Dh4,299 in UAE. The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition is a bright yellow phone with the Olympic rings and Paralympic symbols in gold. It comes with a fancy leather case made by Parisian luxury brand Berluti, who also designed Team France’s uniforms for the opening ceremonies. The phone is packed with helpful apps like Athlete 365, Olympic Shop, and Samsung Wallet. It also includes an eSIM with 100GB of 5G data, unlimited calling and texting, and free public transport passes in Paris, plus complimentary drinks from vending machines in the Olympic villages. This special phone includes Samsung’s latest AI technology, which can translate calls live, translate conversations instantly, and help write emails and social media posts. These tools make it easier for athletes to communicate and share their experiences. For the first time, athletes will be allowed to take their smartphones onto the podium to snap victory selfies. This is a big change from past Olympics, where phones were not allowed during medal ceremonies.
