20 Umrah pilgrims killed in road accident

At least 20 people were killed, and several others were injured after a bus carrying Umrah pilgrims figured in a road accident on Monday (March 27), on Aqabat Shaar Road in the Asir region. Local media reported that the accident occurred due to malfunctioning brakes on the bus. The bus overturned and collided with a bridge. Fire engulfed the vehicle, trapping the passengers inside. The Civil Defense and Red Crescent teams responded to the incident, transferring bodies and injured to hospitals. The authorities then cleared the road to resume traffic movement. RZSP/Expat Media
