Saudi German Health (SGH), one of the Middle East’s leading private healthcare groups, has expanded its partnership with Mayo Clinic after officially welcoming Saudi German Hospital Ajman into the Mayo Clinic Care Network. The announcement was made at a landmark ceremony held at the Emirates Hospitality Centre in Ajman, under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Court of the Ruler of Ajman. Senior leaders from SGH and Mayo Clinic attended the event to mark a new chapter in their collaboration. With this development, Saudi German Health now stands as the largest group of Mayo Clinic Care Network members in the region, underscoring its ambition to advance healthcare standards across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and beyond. Makarem Sobhi Al Batterjee, President and Vice Chairman of Saudi German Health, described the milestone as both a promise and a commitment. “The addition of Saudi German Hospital Ajman in the Mayo Clinic Care Network is a promise. By working with Mayo Clinic, we are combining our strengths to create a future where exceptional healthcare is accessible to all,” Al Batterjee said. “Together, we are ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care, right here at home. This is a direct reflection of SGH’s promise of Caring Like Family.” Al-Batterjee further revealed SGH’s long-term vision: “By 2030, our vision with this large new ecosystem is to be the number one private healthcare provider in medical quality and excellence in the UAE and the Arab world.” Over the next three years, six more SGH hospitals across Saudi Arabia and the UAE will join the Mayo Clinic Care Network, creating what the group calls an “unprecedented ecosystem of shared expertise.” Dr. Ahmed Eissa, Group CEO of Saudi German Health UAE, emphasized the strategic importance of the move. “This relationship places SGH Ajman at the forefront of innovation in patient care. For us, ‘A New Era of Healthcare Excellence’ is a reality we are committed to delivering.” The collaboration will bring immediate benefits to patients in key specialties such as cardiology, a critical healthcare priority in the UAE. Mayo Clinic experts will also spearhead specialty-based clinical transformation programs, beginning with cardiovascular care. These programs will include annual evaluations at SGH hub hospitals, roadmaps for patient safety and operational excellence, and leadership development. Dr. Eric Moore, medical director of Mayo Clinic International and chair of head and neck surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, affirmed Mayo Clinic’s commitment to the partnership. “Our relationship with Saudi German Health reflects a deep commitment to advancing care through knowledge sharing and clinical transformation.
