The inaugural Mr. Pogi pageant is set to take Dubai by storm, celebrating Filipino men who embody charisma, talent, and a passion for advocacy. The search began with a screening event held on November 20 at the Chicking restaurant in Dubai, where 12 aspiring titleholders showcased their best selves. The candidates faced a panel of judges comprising of Expat Media CEO and owner Mars Yabut De los Santos, Chicking Marketing Head Christine Bruton, and Marinette Liquido, CEO of United Expats International. Each contestant went through talent presentations and a Q&A segment designed to highlight their wit and personality. The screening was as much about confidence and charm as it was about the contestants’ advocacy and vision. Judges of Mr. Pogi emphasized that the pageant isn’t just about physical appeal. “We’re looking for men who can inspire others through their actions and advocacies,” said De los Santos. This holistic approach aligns the pageant with modern ideals of role models who are more than just a pretty face. “This is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of culture and creativity,” said Bruton. The event has drawn support from major sponsors, including Philippine Airlines, LBC, Miss Fab Jewellery, Chicking, Send2, Balik Bayan Store, Pwestuhan Bar, Harvest Café, Premiere Sky Travel & Tours and Head Master. The finalists are expected to deliver an electrifying show during the grand coronation night, with performances and presentations that will captivate audiences. The event promises to crown a winner who is not only a role model but a source of inspiration for the community.
