Serial traveller loses motorbike in UAE. Here's what Dubai Police did

DUBAI - A 55-year-old Chinese man who has travelled to 103 countries is currently in the UAE to continue his mission on a motorbike, but just as he hit a snag, help came unexpectedly. Chen Liang Quan said he had visited Dragon Mart in Dubai on his second day in the country when he found that the motorbike he parked outside was missing. Quan uses a motorbike on his mission to travel around the globe to promote world peace. He began the journey in China in 1986, when he was only 23. He has 93 countries left to visit. Stuck in Dubai without a motorbike, the distressed Quan called 999 to report that his two-wheel drive is missing. He never expected the response from the Dubai Police. Police officers took him to a motorbike showroom where they presented him with a suprise: A new Yamaha MT 700! Quan said that the police officers told him it was a "gesture of appreciation for effort". It was only later when Quan discovered that his old motorbike was not stolen after all, but parked in a legal parking space. He told the Dubai Police about it to return the motorbike they gave, but was asked to keep the gift for his future travels. Thanking the UAE and Dubai Police, the peace messenger said he is amazed by the "big hearts" of the people here. He is taking a piece of the UAE with him - a bottle of sand- and is excited to be back on the road. He is off to Saudi Arabia next.
