Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan is set to make history once again — this time, in Dubai’s skyline. Danube Group has announced a 55-storey commercial skyscraper on Sheikh Zayed Road that will officially be named “Shahrukhz by Danube.” The project was revealed during a grand event in Mumbai, attended by Shah Rukh Khan himself and hosted by longtime friend Farah Khan. “It is humbling and deeply touching to have a landmark in Dubai carry my name,” SRK said. “Dubai has always been a special place for me — a city that celebrates dreams, ambition, and possibility.” In a video message, the 60-year-old superstar added in Hindi: “We don’t chase dreams, we turn them into reality. Legacy isn’t inherited, it is made. This building is part of that legacy.” Shah Rukh becomes the first actor in the world to have an entire skyscraper named after him. The 1-million–sqft tower is expected to become a global hub for entrepreneurs and fast-growing businesses, with unit prices starting at Dh1.7 million. A statue of Shah Rukh’s iconic open-arms pose will stand at the entrance, making the tower an instant landmark and likely tourist attraction. Shah Rukh was one of the first Bollywood stars to purchase property in Dubai. His Palm Jumeirah villa, Jannat, has become synonymous with celebrity luxury in the UAE. “Shahrukhz by Danube” is scheduled for completion in 2029. ICA/Expat Media
