Sharjah announces 50% discount on traffic fines, black points cancellation

Motorists with traffic fines in Sharjah can get a 50 percent discount on their fines and have their black points cancelled, according to Sharjah Police on Thursday (March 2). Impoundment orders will also be cancelled for traffic violations committed before March 31, said Lieutenant-Colonel Muhammad Alai, director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Sharjah Police. Motorists can avail of the discount within March. Starting on April 1, motorists will get a 35 percent discount if they pay their fines within 60 days of committing the violation. The discount drops to 25 percent if they pay their traffic fine between 60 days to one year of the violation. ICA/Expat Media
