Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced a temporary closure of the road separating Al Juraina 1 and Al Qarain 1 as part of scheduled maintenance works aimed at improving road efficiency and safety. The closure began on January 9 (Friday) and will remain in place until January 11 (Sunday). SRTA said the works form part of its ongoing plans to develop the emirate’s road network and enhance infrastructure quality to better serve residents and road users. During the closure period, SRTA said maintenance work will be carried out according to approved technical standards, with safety measures in place to protect both motorists and workers. The authority is coordinating closely with relevant agencies to minimise disruption and ensure smooth traffic flow. Motorists are advised to follow approved traffic diversions, use alternative routes and comply with temporary directional signs and traffic safety guidelines throughout the duration of the closure.
