Sharjah Children's Reading Festival set to return with a new and extended version

On May 11, the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (SCRF) will celebrate literature and creativity in a larger way. On Sunday (April 17), it was confirmed that this year's event will take place at Expo Centre Sharjah for 12 days till May 22, according to WAM. A variety of international writers and professionals will lead different, inclusive activities under the subject 'Create Creativity,' leading the young generation on a journey to release their creativity, refine their talents, and broaden their knowledge. "The SCRF provides the younger generations with a unique platform to pursue their passions, explore curiosities and acquire new knowledge,” said Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, chairman of the SBA. The SCRF also supports Sharjah's attempts to improve the publishing sector regionally and internationally, notably in children's literature, according to Al Ameri. "The festival brings together publishers and illustrators of children’s and young adult literature to exchange knowledge and expertise, and at the same time, highlight the emirate’s advanced infrastructure and wealth of opportunities and services available to expand the global publishing markets.” KMB/Expat Media
