Driver dies in flames, 2 others killed in Sharjah car crash

  SHARJAH - A car crash caused by a burst tyre killed three people in Sharjah, including the driver who was burned alive in the wreckage on Monday (November 6), police said. The victims were all Asians, police said without giving further details. Police said that the driver lost control of the vehicle after one of the tyres burst, sending the car crashing into a road barrier on Maliha Road before it burst into flames. Meanwhile, Major Abdul Rahman Khater, Director of Traffic Awareness Department of Sharjah Police, issued a stern warning to the public against posting photos or videos of the incident. Khater said that onlookers had crowded the scene and were seen taking videos or photos using their mobile phones. He warned that anyone caught circulating the photos on social media will face legal consequences according to the UAE federal traffic law. Under the law, individuals caught crowding in accident sites will face a fine of Dh1,000. DAJ/Expat Media
