Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) announced the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in all of its educational institutions in response to the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority's (NCEMA) declaration on removing COVID-19 limits. The announcement includes that wearing masks is optional in closed and opened areas, updating the Green Pass in the Al Hosn app, and other decisions that have been issued based on the significant decline in COVID-19 cases in the country. Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, emphasized the authority's eagerness to execute government directives while also applauding private school administrations for their excellent collaboration and support in combating the pandemic. The authority also announced the following additional rules: -Abolition of the fixed-group system for kindergartens -Reduction of the period of isolation for COVID-19 patients to only five days -Elimination of quarantine for people who have close contact with COVID-19 patients, with the necessity of following up on the health status of those with chronic diseases for not less than seven days after contact. The authorities confirmed the continuation of the green pass system, with the validity of a negative nasal swab that does not exceed 30 days, allowing parents and guests to enter educational institutions.
