The four-day Sharjah Events Festival begins at 4pm on Thursday (December 14) at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre. The festival is organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau under the slogan “See Sharjah” and will run until December 17. It will be open to the public daily from 4pm to 10pm. The Sharjah Events Festival offers a “rich bouquet” of thrilling, entertaining, and educationally informative activities and contests, the organizer said. Magical laser shows will be held daily, every hour starting at 6pm. Al Majaz Amphitheatre and its various stands and platforms in Khalid Lagoon are adorned with bright and attractive colours and lighting, transforming Al Majaz Island into a carnival spreading all-round joy and happiness. Game areas of the festival will have adventure land, contests, maze, and numerous other attractions for visitors. Visitors can also watch the exhibition boats of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club. In the Cooking Corner, foodies will be treated to rich gastronomical experience with chefs Salam Al Dakkak, Ghada Al Tali and Somaya Obaid displaying their skills. There will also be live demonstrations of pizza preparation. Visitors can also drop their donations to Gaza in any of the 100 boxes at the venue to the Sharjah Charitable Society, which will continue its aid campaign to help distraught Palestinians.
