Gang stole almost Dh200,000 worth of phones, accessories

Sharjah Police arrested a gang for theft, stealing worth Dh200,000 phones and accessories from mobile phone stores. The police immediately responded after receiving numerous complaints of robbery from mobile shops in Sharjah. According to Colonel Omar Ahmed Abu Al Zawd, Director of the Criminal I Investigation Department at Sharjah Police, the police team managed to identify the suspect in a surveillance camera footage of a shop where the suspect broke in and seized phones and accessories worth Dh200,000. The police caught the suspect within eight hours of the crime and recovered stolen items. During the interrogation, the suspect admitted to the crime and confessed to where he kept the stolen phones. He also provided details about his two partners, who buy phones without official receipts. All of them were arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution for legal procedures.
