Sharjah Police arrest smugglers, nab Dh23.5 million worth drugs

The Sharjah Police has arrested a gang of 24 Arabs and Asians with 120 kilograms of hashish and 3 million Captagon pills worth Dh23.5 million in their possession. In cooperation with the UAE police and the Anti-Narcotics Department of Sharjah, they conducted two security operations to arrest the smugglers. Apparently, the anti-narcotics department has received inside information about some Asians with a quantity of Captagon pills in their possession, which they planned to market among a group of people. Upon receiving the tip, the authorities set a trap, resulting in a successful operation. The gathered inferences have shown that suspects used to receive instructions from another suspect outside the country, from selling the pills to storing them all over the UAE.
