Sharjah's new human resources policy was unveiled at a meeting on Wednesday by Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the emirate's ruler. According to Sheikh Sultan, of the 2,249 job seekers registered in Sharjah's Human Resources databases since 2019 or earlier, 2,417 will be employed in 2023. They are subject to the restrictions outlined in the new policy. He stated that there are requirements for job seekers to be registered in the Human Resources Department's databases, including proof of unemployment, not receiving a pension, considering applicants' ages, and several other requirements. He also mentioned that the department would contact job seekers to provide jobs for those who meet the requirements. According to His Highness, there will be three ways to find employment in Sharjah government organizations in 2023: – Job replacement – Early retirement for those with certain health conditions under the condition that the government will cover the financial differences in the pension – Replacement of incompetent employees The Sharjah Ruler emphasized the creation of committees to investigate the 1,700 cases of women who are over the age of 50 and are looking for work. In addition to researching the case of retirees receiving compensation from sources other than the Sharjah government to raise their pay to at least Dh17,500, their circumstances and conditions will be considered to intervene in situations that call for subsidies. The Sharjah Ruler hopes that the new policy will give Sharjah's residents jobs, a decent life, and happiness.
