A 38-year-old Indian man has been detained in Sharjah for attempted suicide and attempted murder of his family, according to Sharjah Police. The suspect reportedly tried to kill himself, as well as his wife and son due to financial issues. He first attempted to kill his family, before trying to kill himself. Police said the Indian suspect slit his wrist and also slashed his neck. Neighbours were able to alert police after hearing screams coming from the family’s apartment. Police responded quickly and rushed the injured family members to a hospital in Sharjah for treatment. Police said the man, his wife and son are recovering in the hospital where the man is also under police custody. ICA/Expat Media
