Industrial areas in Sharjah are going to get a Dh600 million makeover after the ruler of Sharjah approved a budget for their development. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Wednesday (December 6) approved a budget of Dh600 million for the development of industrial areas 1, 6 and 7. The budget will be allocated to the Sharjah City Municipality in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Under Sheikh Sultan, Sharjah has undergone massive transformation to develop the emirate into one of the most-visited destinations in the UAE for tourism and culture. Development is currently ongoing in Kalba, where a luxury trailer camp is set to open in 2024. Kalba Beach is also being upgraded to include world-class restaurants and leisure facilities.
