Sharjah International Book Fair will be returning for its 43rd edition from November 6 to 17, as announced by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA). With the theme 'It starts with a book,' this year's event will feature 2,520 publishers from 112 countries and celebrate 400 authors signing their latest books. It will include 1,357 activities led by 250 guests from 63 countries, offering something for all ages and interests. The book fair will bring together local, Arab, and international publishing houses, featuring writers, authors, thinkers, and creatives from diverse fields. They will take part in sessions that focus on literature, culture, and thought, and share their unique literary and intellectual experiences. The authority announced that this year's fair celebrates the Kingdom of Morocco as the guest of honor and feature various cultural events, such as interactive workshops and book signing sessions. It will unite readers with their favorite authors and offer artistic, theatrical, and global performances, creating a vibrant atmosphere of cultural diversity. There will also be cultural forums for attendees and participants to exchange ideas and knowledge. "Today, the need to affirm the centrality of books in building bridges of human communication between nations and peoples is greater than ever before. Therefore, the Sharjah International Book Fair represents a living message co-written by thousands of writers, authors, and artists from the world here in Sharjah, to re-draw the attention of the entire world to the fact that all the achievements that civilisations aspire to begin with a book, and every noble value that is rooted in the conscience of peoples is embodied in a book," Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority, said.
